Evangelist Allen Thompson
Allen was born in Meridian, MS, and was raised in a small farming community in Yantley, AL, before moving to Butler, AL, at the age of ten. He attended The University of West Alabama and received a double major and double minor before performing an internship with the New York Mets organization. During such time, he was hired full time to complete the Grapefruit season in Port St. Lucie, FL. Following the season, he accepted a graduate assistant position with Troy State University (Troy University) in 2000. At Troy, he met his wife Mandy, and they married on New Year’s Eve, 2001. That spring, they moved to Jupiter, FL, where Allen worked at the St. Louis Cardinals spring training facility. In 2007, he accepted a position with the Mississippi State University baseball and football programs. Allen began attending Zion Assembly Church of God with his wife and two daughters, Ally and Mckenzie, in the fall of 2008, and joined the church in 2009. He answered the call to preach the summer of 2011. He served as the evangelist for the South Carolina Church Camp from 2012-2019, Tennessee Church Camp in 2018, and Alabama
Church Camp in 2015 and 2021. He served as the local youth minister in Columbus, MS from 2013-2016. He later served as pastor in Kosciusko, MS, from 2015-2017. He has served as the International Youth Minister since 2017. Since 2024, he has served as the local pastor in Amory, MS.
