World Missions Director
Bishop Joseph Steele

As charter members of Zion Assembly Church of God, Bishop Steele and his wife, Julie, along with their son, Joey, joined on April 20, 2004, in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee when the church was reorganized. Bishop Steele had attained to the rank of Bishop in the Church of God of Prophecy and was in his second pastoral assignment at Fields of the Wood, North Carolina, when released due to doctrinal and policy convictions. Having no ill feelings and with an amicable departure from the former fellowship, he continued to be enthusiastic about the mission and divine destiny of Zion Assembly Church of God, after more than 2 decades. He served as the first assistant editor of the Voice of Zion magazine for several years, as the state overseer for several states throughout the years, including Tennessee and California, and has served on several general committees including the Doctrine Committee, the Assembly Business Committee, and the Executive Council. He is currently serving as the World Missions Director, the United States Field Secretary, and as a member of the Doctrine Committee and the Executive Council. Sis Julie, who partnered with Bishop Steele for more than 40 years in the ministry went to be with the Lord on January 21, 2024. By God's grace, he seeks to finish his course such that he will finally hear him say, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant."
