Presiding Bishop
Bishop Wade H. Phillips has served as the Presiding Bishop of Zion Assembly Church of God since 2004. Bishop Phillips came to know the Lord in November 1967 and accepted his calling into the ministry shortly after. He married the love of his life, Dale Phillips, in February 1968 and now have four children, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
After accepting his calling into the ministry, Bishop Phillips was appointed to pastor in West Virginia and Maryland. After pastoring for the next thirteen years, He was then appointed to many ministry roles, including as the state overseer of West Virginia, national overseer of Canada, general manager of Fields of the Wood, and general secretary of CPMA.
Bishop Phillips earned his bachelor's degree in history and philosophy from Fairmont State University. He then graduated with a Master of Theology from International Bible Seminary and a Master of Divinity from Lee University. After completing both master's degrees, Bishop Phillips earned his Doctorate in Divinity from Canada Christian Theological Seminary and a Post-Graduate Ph.D. in Charismatic Renewal from Regents University.
Bishop Phillips, along with Sis Dale, have devoted their lives to the preaching of the gospel. Because of their dedication to the ministry, many have come to know the Lord and have grown in their relationship with the Lord. Through their ministry, many leaders have been mentored and now serve in capacities such as pastors, evangelists, and overseers.
